Faces: 2011/Traveling exhibit at Evanston Public Library during August 2012

Category : Uncategorized

Faces of Evanston has moved for the month August  to The Evanston Public Library. The library was founded 129 years ago on a parcel of land purchased from Northwestern University to provide a central location to gather, learn and share diverse forms of information via different tools such as books, video and computers while adapting to a fluid learning environment. With it’s Prairie style design surrounded by the Frances E. Willard house and the Woman’s Club the Evanston public library stands as a beacon of light inviting all to come and drink from it’s eternal bounty in the heart of downtown Evanston. It’s in this culturally, creatively and intellectually rich community that Faces of Evanston has come to exist and showcase through photos the many wonders that makes Evanston so special. If you have not seen last year’s winners please visit the main library in the downtown Evanston location at 1703 Orrington Ave, www.epl.org.
